Planning a wedding comes with a lot of moving pieces. Below are answers to some of the questions I’m asked most often about the bridal beauty process, booking and the wedding morning.

Bridal Preview

  • Bridal Previews are not required, but they can be incredibly helpful if you have a specific vision in mind, feel unsure about how a look will translate on you, or simply want the reassurance of seeing everything come together before the wedding day.

    It gives us the opportunity to take our time, try your look, make any adjustments and make sure you feel completely confident in the direction we’re going.

  • Most Bridal Previews take place within the few months leading up to the wedding, once details like your dress, hair inspiration and overall wedding style have started to come together.

    There’s no need to have every detail figured out beforehand, though. Once you're booked, we can find a timing that makes the most sense for you and your wedding.

  • I reserve approximately 90 minutes for Bridal Previews.

    This gives us plenty of time to talk through your inspiration, preferences and wedding details, create your look, and make thoughtful adjustments without feeling rushed.

  • You don’t need to bring much! If you have inspiration photos, photos of yourself where you loved your makeup, or anything that helps communicate what you’re drawn to, feel free to bring those along.

    If possible, I also recommend having an idea of how you plan to wear your hair and what your dress and overall wedding style will look like. All of those little details help me create a look that feels cohesive and completely personal to you.

Booking, Travel & Team

  • Once I confirm that your date is available and we’ve gone over the details of your wedding, I’ll send everything you need to officially reserve your date.

    A signed agreement and 35% non-refundable retainer are required to secure your booking. Until both have been received, your date remains available to other inquiries.

  • Yes! I provide on-location wedding makeup and I regularly travel throughout Buffalo, Western New York, including Chautauqua and the Finger Lakes.

    Travel requiring up to one hour of total round-trip drive time is included. Locations beyond that are subject to an additional travel fee based on the time required.

    Destination weddings are always welcome, including travel outside of the country. Because every destination is a little different, travel and destination bookings are quoted separately with a custom proposal based on the location and details of your wedding.

    If you’re unsure whether your getting-ready location falls within my included travel area, just include the address with your inquiry and I’ll take care of the rest.

  • Yes. For larger wedding parties or timelines that require multiple artists, I work with a small group of trusted professional makeup artists whose work and standards align with mine.

    If an additional artist is needed, I’ll determine that while creating your wedding-day timeline so that the morning stays relaxed, organized and runs smoothly.

Makeup Style & Investment

  • My pricing is based on the time, preparation, products, experience and level of service that go into each application rather than how dramatic the finished look is.

    Natural makeup can actually require just as much detail and intention as a fuller glam look. Every application is customized to you, whether your vision is barely-there and fresh or a little more polished and defined.

  • A smaller wedding party doesn’t necessarily mean we can’t work together.

    My wedding bookings do require a minimum investment, but that minimum can sometimes be met in ways other than booking five makeup applications. For example, some couples may choose to add extended touch-up time or other bridal services that genuinely add value to their day.

    If you love my work but aren’t sure whether your plans meet the minimum, I always encourage you to inquire. Send me the details of your wedding and we can see what options may make sense.

Wedding Morning Logistics

  • I reserve approximately one hour for the bride and 45 minutes for each wedding party service, plus dedicated time at the end of the schedule for final finishing touches. Your exact timeline will be created around your wedding-day logistics.

  • If your service count changes after booking, reach out as soon as you know.

    I’m always happy to accommodate additional services when the wedding-day timeline allows. Depending on the size of the party or timing of your day, adding services may also require an additional artist.

    We’ll look at the schedule together and determine what makes the most sense.

  • Absolutely — as long as the space is available early enough for your beauty timeline.

    Some venues have specific access times for bridal suites, and those times don’t always allow enough room for hair, makeup, getting dressed and photography beforehand.

    Before finalizing your getting-ready location, I recommend confirming exactly what time you’ll have access to the space. I’m also happy to help you determine whether that timing works with your wedding-day schedule.

  • An additional artist may be required for larger wedding parties, early completion times or wedding mornings where one artist would not be able to comfortably complete everyone without creating an unnecessarily early start.

    My priority is always to build a timeline that feels calm and realistic rather than squeezing too much into the morning.

    If another artist is needed, I’ll let you know while we’re planning your timeline.

  • The best getting-ready space is somewhere comfortable, spacious and filled with good natural light.

    Hotels, Airbnbs, private homes and venue bridal suites can all work beautifully. Ideally, we’ll have enough room for your beauty team to set up comfortably without everyone feeling crowded.

    Good lighting, plenty of outlets, table space and a calm environment can make a surprisingly big difference in how the morning feels.
